15 months at Go Go Bambini

The girls turned 15months today! Brought them to Go Go Bamini for some fun and action! GGB is located at Dempsey Road, beside Ben & Jerry. They have a very big indoor playground which is catered for 0-11 years old kids. Of course the much younger ones will required parent's supervision at all times. The playground is 6 meters high with four levels to explore.

We arrived around 3.30pm and the place was quite crowded because there were birthday parties going on. The girls did get excited for a start and were running around the playground. But overall it seems we, the adults enjoy more than the 2 little girls! They started to get cranky after going up the 3rd level and we had no chance to explore the highest level. Probably they were tired and hungry as it was almost time for their milk session too.

There's a cafe in GGB so we went to get a table and prepared for the girls' milk. We ordered some food and drinks too for ourselves - the adults! After the short 30min rest, we went into the playground again as it was still early to leave the place. We paid $5 per child for unlimited play so might as well make full use of it to stay until they close shop at 6pm. But seems the girls did not show much interest to the playground anymore so we left the place shortly after that break.

It's a nice place for the kids to learn their motor and confidence skills by going through all those obstacles courses. But I guess probably it will be more fun for older kids who are able to play independently. Nevertheless, I do encourage the younger kids (<2 yrs) to visit this place because it's always good to start training at a young age on their motor skills. The admission fee of $5 for unlimited play is quite reasonable and cheap too as I had seen other places charges more than $10 even for kids < 2 yrs old. GGB do have a area that is catered for much younger kids and is located in the cafe. So parents can get to enjoy a cup of latte while watching their kids mingle around with other kids. Elsie & Chloe did make some new friends over there, all fighting for 1 blue balloon in a pool of colored balls! It was a funny sight! :)

Breakfast with horses; Dinner with Raphael

A beautiful Saturday morning with some light drizzle. Off we set to Bukit Timah Saddle Club for breakfast. After reading Gek Eng's blog, I've got tempted to try out the breakfast and see the environment. We jio all the early birds who are willing to wake up early on a Saturday morning to come together with us for the "excursion".

Riders Cafe is a non airconditoned cafe situated inside the saddle club. Here, you can watch horses prance around especially on weekends when riders take lessons, in a pleasant open air environment with high ceilings. The outdoor seats by the balcony are always the most popular. It is a relatively small place so reservations are advised on weekends. As it was our first time there, we did not plan to make any reservations. When we reached, we were told that we had to wait 1 hour for a table! But seems luck was with us because one of the reservation was cancelled at the last minute and we were able to take over their table after waiting for about 20mins.

Review:
Food: 9/10
Location: 5/10 (Pls do not go if you do not drive!)

Evening time, we went over to Gek Eng's house for dinner and visit Raphael's playroom. They just had it fully carpetted few months ago so Raphael could play inside without afraid he would fall and knock his head hard onto the ground. It's a good idea and it looks like those angmor house where the whole house usually are carpetted. But maintenance might be a hassel. If food/liquid drops onto the carpet, it can be a disaster. So Hui will never agree for me to carpet the princesses' room.

Thanks to Gek Eng & Ben for the host and the delicious self-cook spagetti + KFC dinner! The girls had a fun time in the playroom and K.O right after we got into the car all the way until the next morning!

I didnt took alot of photos because Gek Eng kept snapping away. So I let her do the job while I enjoyed the moments watching the kids playing and throwing toys all over the place!

Leifheit

I never know that this mop is so good until I tried it on my own. Was introduce to this mop by SIL when moving in to stay with her. All along it was my maid who cleaned the house therefore I never had to touch the mop.

After we moved out, Hui wanted to get the same mop for our house. We only managed to buy it after 2 weeks because it was out of stock at many places that sell this mop. Usually I would mop the house once every 2 days. Hmm, you must be wondering why is it me who is doing this job instead of my maid? Well, during wkday she is at my MIL house as we bring the girls over instead of MIL coming over now. So by the time we bring the girls back home at night, it's pretty late to do any housework and we doesn't want to tired her out. But I cannot stand the floor not clean up for 1 whole week and had to wait until wkend! Furthermore my girls like to walk around the whole house and it is important to keep the floor clean and hygiene. Luckily I work from home most of the time so I am allow to do some housework in the morning before starting my work.

I tried using in for the first time and I fell in love with this mop. It can sweep and mop at the same time! No more double work of vaccuming + mopping. No more dust flying around if using a broom to sweep the floor. Usually I would need about 1 hour to do a vaccum + mopping. With the Leifheit Picobello Micro Duo, I can clean up the house in less than an hour! And it really works well to clean the hair/dust/dirt without them flying around

Look at the hair/dirt collected even though I mop the floor every 2 days! Dust is really everywhere even though most of our windows are mostly closed during the daytime!

Leifheit products can be bought at selected Homefix branch and places like carrefour, metro or robinson. Retail price for Picobello is $78. But we are so DUI because after 2 days we bought the mop, I found online a supplier of this brand is selling at a promotion price of $29 now!!!!!!

Hogarmas is located at pandan loop and the warehouse is only open during sale period. So means you might not be able to purchase from them any day you want. Just nice there is a warehouse sale going on recently so Hui and I went down on a wkday afternoon to purchase 3 more Picobello mops! 1 for my mum and 2 for Gek Eng. Yes, I introduce her to this mop and she wanted to give it a try too. She bought 1 for her mum as well! The refill of the sponge is also much cheaper at Hogarmas and so I bought some from there too. Haiz...if only we had waited for a few more days, we would have save $50!!

A place I call my home!

1st Aug 2009, a day which I waited for 3 years since I got married! I finally have a roof which I can proudly called it MY HOME! 11th March 1981, I was borned in KK hospital and after discharged was moved into a home at clementi which belongs to my parents. 15th Oct 2006, I was married into the Chua family and shifted from Clementi to Hougang and stayed with my parents-in-law, a place not owned by me. After almost 2years, E&C were born and due to space constraint, we moved to Hui's 2nd sister's house (also in Hougang) on 26th July 2008 - another place doesn't belong to me.

Jan 2009, we decided it's time to source for our very own flat as the girls were older and should have a room of their own. Our combined income will also pose a problem soon in applying for HDB loan. Viewed 14 units in total and without much headache, both of us agreed this is THE ONE! The subsequent units we viewed could not attract us anymore because that unit seems to already won our hearts over. Within 1 week, we met up with the owner and agents and signed on the dotted line.

11th March 2009 was our first appointment with HDB. What a good date as it was my birthday. 20th April 2009 was our second appointment and it was my mum's birthday! Such easy dates to remember forever. We did not get our key during 2nd appointment because we had agree to let the owner stayed for 2 months after the 2nd appointment so he could prepared his other house for renovation yet had a house to stayed in. And ofcourse in return he will offered us $0 COV and gave us his good condition sofa + other accessories in the house.

June is here and the owner kept his promise to shift out within the 2months period. Sourcing of contractor and renovation then started in beginning of July and we were quite rush as our target move in date was 1st Aug. Although there were some hiccups here and there, but all renovation work were finished by 3rd week of July (We didnt really do alot of reno since the house is in move-in condition) and furnitures came on the last week of July.

And as planned, we moved in on 1st Aug and is now happily enjoying the 5-ren shi jie comprises of Daddy Chua, Mummy Chua, 2 princesses and 1 maid.
