5th Valentine With Him

Some couples who had been dated for many yrs do not celebrate this day anymore as they find it nothing special to them. But to us, this mark another year that we had pass and still togther as a loving couple.

This year, we had a cheaper valentine celebration. We've booked a 2D1N chalet at Downtown East from 13th - 14th Feb at just $89. No friends, no family members. Just the two of us having a peace and quiet day togther.

13th Feb: He arrived at 2pm at my house to pick me up as well as help me pack my clothes.hee..just feel like being pampered for this day. Left my house at abt 2.45pm and head towards pasir ris. Reaches ard 3.30pm and check-in. Our room was on the 2nd floor with a balcony, fridge and microwave. It was slightly bigger than the one I usually go to.

After unpacking, we get change to our swimming costume and went for a 2hr swim. The pool was pack with kids. Hard to swim in laps as the kids are all over the pool. So we just chit chat, swim a few laps, then head back to our room.

Had our bath and went for dinner at 7pm. We had candlelight dinner at Fisherman Village - Singa Fiesta. Chicken Chop, Calamari, ice lemon tea was what we've ordered. Wanted to have some alchohol but hui was driving so we intend to skip that. It was breezy that night. Food was delicious. The baked potato was simply delicious. I Love It! Ambience was very good. Saw many couples around us with some behaving quite intimate.Woooo....

We took some pictures, sat there enjoy the atmosphere and chit chatting away. We finally had some time together with just the both of us under such environment since we both got into a "Hell" company! Left the place ard 8+pm and head to White Sand for a walk. Wanted to get some alcoholic drinks but the NTUC didnt had much choices. We bought our breakfast for tmr and head back to Downtown East Cheers to buy instead.

Hooch and Jack Daniel's Whiskey Cola was the bottle we picked. Wanted to have wine actually (Shutter Home - White Zinfendal) but think bottle was too big for the both of us. We just wanted to have some drink, but not drunk! Shops are mostly closed at this time ard 10pm. I was late for my moose cake from emicakes shop. It was closed by the time we went back to the chalet. So no cakes for my breakfast. :(

We had the drinks in our room, snap some pictures away before heading to bed..Alarm was set at 7.45am to go for an early swim the next morning..........

*RING*, my hp alarm sounded..hui went to stop the alarm. Haa..nope, we didnt wake up after that for the swim, instead two pigs was still found lying in bed till 10am!
We woke up, had our bath and prepared our breakfast. Sunshine Softmeal Garlic Bread was what we bought from the NTUC. Had our breakfast, pack our stuffs, took some final pictures and out we go to the recept for check-out.

We went to play pool after we check-out at Downtown East. It was having a promo:
Mon-Thur before 4pm @ $2.80/hr. It was the cheapest we went so far. Played 5 rounds for abt 1hr 15mins before heading back home.

14th Feb: Reach my house at abt 3pm to unpack and change into something nice and went out again. It's the actual day, dun expect to find me rotting at home right? If not, my leave will be wasted again! Went to clementi central optical shop. Hui wanted to make a pair of new glasses. Me and mum went with him, with me helping to choose and mum for her bargaining power! He got a very gd deal. The glasses I pick for him comes with 2 tap-on sunglass lens. So you can wear the spectacles but also treat it as a sunglass when u put on the sunglass lens with just a magnetic tap-on to the spectacles frame. Hmm..hard to explain, show you the pics once he got the specs. :)

After that, we went to suntec while mum continue her grocesery. Hui wanted to buy leather shoe for his work, so I accompany him to shop ard. Couldnt find what he like, in the end, went back to one of the shoe shop at clementi central and bought from there. Had our dinner at Kopitiam, then went back to my house. Hui left my hse ard 10.30pm. I went to bed at 10.45pm.=D

That's how my Valentine's Day ended this yr.
No gifts (both duno what to buy anymore), No roses (I dun wan coz too expensive), No 5-star hotel (Wanted to save the $ for holiday), No expensive dinner (Couldnt decide on a place)..Nothing..
Just a simple yet memorable one.
