They turned TWO!

E&C birthday celebration Part 1 - 28th May
On 28th May (Vesak Day), we celebrated the girls' birthday with close family members and some friends. It was held at our house downstairs BBQ pit. Around 4pm, Hui and his siblings went down to decorate the area and prepare to start up the fire for BBQ. Guests arrived around 5+pm.

Unfortunately, Chloe was sick the previous day (27th) and the fever did not seem to get any better on the 28th. We brought her to see GP on 28th morning (wanted to bring her to see the usual PD but her clinic was not open on public holiday), taken some medicines but fever did not subside. She refused to sleep after taking the medicine and endure until 6+pm where she started to feel very restless and tired.

So I brought her back up to the house from the BBQ pit area, fed her the fever medicine and let her get some rest. Within few minutes I put her in bed, she fell asleep soundly. Elsie on the other hand was enjoying herself at the pit area playing with everyone.

Initially I wanted to start the cake cutting session at 7pm, before the sun goes down. But as Chloe was still sleeping, we had to delay until she woke up and finished dinner.

Anyway, after the sleep and medicine, she seems to feel much better. When Hui brought her down, she was playing happily with Elsie and the other kids. Cut the cupcakes at around 8pm and guests started to bid goodbye. Left over were full of BBQ food, bee hoon and Hui's immediate family to help pack up the place.

There will be second round of celebration the next day so we had to try tuck the girls to bed early. They fell asleep shortly after we put them in bed. Guess they had really tired themselves out.

Their birthday "cake" this year.
A 2-tier cupcakes consist of 43 mini cupcakes & 2 big one at the center.

E&C birthday celebration Part 2 - 29th-30th May

We booked a hotel stay at Hard Rock Hotel@ResortWorld Sentosa. Our initial plan was to reach Universal Studio by 10am, then leave the place to check-in the hotel at 3pm, then go back into Universal Studio again if we still havent finished touring the place. At night will go to the Hollywood Boulevard for dinner. The next morning will go for a swim with the girls, cut the cake and check-out of hotel.

BUT....because Chloe is still not well, we decided to forgo the plan of visiting Universal Studio. We had already paid for the hotel stay so we had to go. Early morning as Chloe was still having fever, we brought her to our PD at Thomson Medical Centre to get some medicine. After eating the medicine (antibiotics this time as PD said her fever was due to sorethroat infection which the GP said Chloe did not had sorethroat!) prescribed by the PD, Chloe's fever subsided by the noon. It does help to pay more seeking advise from a specialist (PD) compared to a GP!

Ok...so we left the house at 2.30pm with an energetic Elsie and recovering Chloe! Maid was "deposited" at my mum's place for the wkend. *wink* It was meant for family members only so no-outsiders allowed :P

On our way into Sentosa

Reached the hotel around 3.15pm and checked-in. Nua in the hotel room snapping photos away and playing with the girls before we went out for more photo-taking sessions. As we didnt went into Universal Studios, so could only took some photos outside with the significant big globe.

The "Must-take" photo when you are in Resort World

Wanted to take a very 80s kind of photo but seems to fail
(with a camera or skill? Photo taken by Hui :P)

Dinner was intended to proceed at Hollywood Boulevard but scrap the idea as we wanted the girls to rest earlier (especially Chloe) so that they would have more sleep in prepare for the next day swimming.

We had dinner at Ru Yi (Tunglok's 24hour fastfood cafe) with Elsie sleeping in the stroller and Chloe sitting beside me disturbing the people sitting on our right by waving, hello-ing and making them happy...

Went back to the hotel room around 10pm and tuck the girls to bed. Hui & I also fell asleep together with the girls (which was NOT supposed to as we had plans for ourselves too..arghhh!!)

30th May
We were all set and ready to proceed for the swimming by 8am! Chloe no longer had fever so we allowed her to join in the fun. Otherwise, she could only stayed in the room with either Daddy or Mummy and Elsie would be out there having all the fun. Hui's 2nd Sis and BIL came over to join in the swimming and the eldest Sis and BIL only could make it for the cake cutting session in the late morning.

We had lotsa fun in the swimming pool playing the slides, bubbles and balloons (keep floating off to other pools and kena "kidnapped" by other kids!). 1 hour later, we went back to the hotel to bathe and get ready for the cake cutting. The cake was complimentary from the hotel as we told them it's our dearest twins' birthday! Haha...that's what I called good customer service :p

The sexy Elsie
But end up I changed it away to the thermal swimsuit as I think they will feel warmer with thermal on.

At the swimming pool having lotsa fun!

The eldest sis and BIL arrived shortly after all of us had bathe finished and the 2nd round of cake cutting began. Our camera went off after the first shot of group photos (and this blur mummy forgot to bring the camera charger!!) so the rest of the photos were taken with iphones (plenty of iphones!)!

The complimentary cake and a birthday card from the hotel.

The very last photo from the camera and it went "dead"...

Check-out the hotel at 12pm and the whole group went to Vivocity for lunch. The girls' were too tired and fell asleep in the stroller when we were pushing them to the dining place. We had lunch at Kim Gary and half way the other 4 adults left to catch a movie at 1.30pm. The girls woke up 1.5 hour later and so we ordered ham and cheese sandwich for them. After their lunch, we proceed to Toy 'R' Us for shopping as Daddy & Mummy havent got any presents for them yet.

Last photo and we were out of Sentosa

We were searching for Elmo plush toy but couldnt find any. It seems Elmo plush is quite difficult to get in Singapore now. I remembered last time I always see it in toys shop but now hardly could find. The 2 girls got hooked to the little car randomly displayed around the store and both were fighting and screaming in Toy 'R' Us for the car. As usual, Chloe always win and poor Elsie had to find other alternatives to keep herself satisfied.

The following was a picture which I took secretly. Why? Because Elsie had made Mummy very angry. She was shouting and screaming on top of the voice (many ppl are looking at us!) to get into the car when I told her it's time to leave. Daddy had already brought Chloe out to change diaper and we were actually planning to go my mum's place already. Elsie just refused to listen to me and insist to get into the car. I was so angry and walked out of her sight infront of her. This girl was not afraid even I had walked away! She just remain in the car giving all the passerby a pathetic look. A mother was even trying to talk to her and said she is so cute. Elsie simply just ignored her and lean on the steering wheel. 10 mins later, I went soft and reappeared in her sight. When she saw me, she quickly came out of the car and ran to me calling 'Mummy..' softly and gave me a hug. She just had that sweet little face/expression (especially sweet when she shows remoseness!) that always fail to make me angry her for long!

And so....We left the place empty-handed because we couldnt find anything suitable for them. The other gang finished their movie in time to meet us at the nursery room while I am changing Elsie's diaper. So we went for ice-cream at Haagen Dazs together.

Fondue!!

Left the place around 5+pm and went off to my mum's place for dinner and also to pick up my helper.

It was a fulfilling, tiring, happy and memorable long wkend we spent!
