Met up with Karen and Phyllis, my usual concert kakis (Kakis only to Sammi's concert nia) at 1.30pm for KTV session at Dynasty KTV@peace center. Proceed to dinner at Mad Jack nearby after the KTV. As expected, we were holding a mini Sammi's concert in the KTV room because majority songs chosen belong to her....can see how crazy these 3 women are to their idol. But compared to the other 2, I guess I still lose because I did not buy her latest album nor her latest HK concert DVD. Well, my money are now spent on my 2 darlings. But I still do support all her concerts held in Singapore. :p
We reached and entered the indoor stadium pretty early as we got nothing to do after the dinner. We were seated by 7.30pm and waiting for the crowd to fill the chairs. Huiyan, Wenying and their partners reached around 8pm and were seated just behind us.
Concert started around 8.30pm and ended almost 11pm!
Review:
Just one word. FANTASTIC! So so much better compared to 2 years ago. Quite disappointed with the Show Mi concert 2 yrs ago held in the same place because she was not in the best of health. She was sick when she arrived Singapore and guess that greatly affects her performance. But still Kudos to her for insisting to continue with the 2 hour show despite her health condition. There were no encore to her concert which was what disappointed me most. Usually near to the end, there would always be an encore portion and she definitely appears with another new clothings. But that concert, she just left the place with all the Fans waiting and shouting. Only when the crews started to dismentle the stage then everyone realise the show had ended!
But this year Love Mi concert, there were TWO encores! When 40% of the crowd had started to stand up and walk out the place after the 1st encore, she appeared from the side with clothes changed and sang another song! Everyone walked back in and stand around the place causing some arguements because those seated were not able to see. So no choice, everyone stand up when she sang the last song.
Actually she did hinted to us before after the 1st encore to tell us continue to shout. She "might" appear. So the 3 of us just waited and see the outcome. Moreover the lights were still quite dim which we anticipated there might really be something going on later. Was she trying to compensate for the Show Mi concert where she left off suddenly? Anyway, the performance that night was great. Special guests are 2 guys, 1 is from Singapore and the other from HK (MC Jin 歐陽靖)! A plump singaporean guy named Tan Hanjin who was damn fortunate to be able to hug Sammi and sang at her concert. Heard he wrote and submitted a song to Sammi and was being chosen. How lucky this guy is! Quite a disgusting guy but have good voice though :p. Don't under estimate this guy because he is really quite talented! => http://www.tanhanjin.com
