Finally a meet up

Yesterday was my poly friend, seh choi's birthday. After many many months, someone finally organise an outing, and we finally met up. No one had changed much, still the same old them. Of course if compared to the school days, ALL of us had changed quite a bit. Should I use the word OLD? or MATURED?

Anyway, Hui and me didn't join them for dinner. We went to Kallang Stadium instead after work for the CATS Classified new logo launch event. Quite similar to the 160th yrs Straits Times Anniversary, we need to finish up a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces were located everywhere in the newspaper since 28th Sept till 7th Oct. We were to piece them up, go down to the location, drop them into the lucky draw box and waiting to walk away with $10,000 cash. The traffic was so much better compared to the Straits Times event and crowd was so much smaller.

7.30pm was the lucky draw. The lucky person who been called up to the stage had to memorized a 8 numbers sequence in 30sec (eg Left 8, Right 1, Right 7 etc) . There was a box in the center of the stage with a turnable number pad stick to the front of the box. It was like opening a safe box. The person had to turn the number pad according to what he had memorized. The winner would walk away with the cash if he/she got all the 8 numbers sequence correct. If one person got it wrong, they would continued to draw until it reached the 10th contestant. If all 10 contestants did not managed to open the safe, the 10 of them would have any round of chance.

I'm so all ready for the game and yet I'm just not the lucky one. Each time a person got the combi wrong, the crowd will CHEER! Yes, course that would mean everyone of us down the stage would have a equal chance to be called. A lucky lady, the 10th contestant, had walk away with the 10K. Crowd dispersed looking disappointed. I'm one of them...:p

Rush down to cityhall to meet up with them after the draw. Went to Swensen to have ice-cream. Tge and me pretended to go toilet, but we had actually ordered a ice-cream cake and asked to be delivered to our table, with candles lighted after we finish the main course. Well, hui was the only one having spaggetti. I had fries and others have ice-cream.
The surprise came...Singing, clapping, blowing, cutting, eating..

Left Swensen at 10.30pm as we were chased by the waiter. They were closing for the day. Catch a movie at 11.45pm. Not a really nice show I would say. Rated 5 out of 10 for it - The 40 years old Virgin.

Reach Hui's home around 2+am. Slept at 3+am. Gosh, what a tired Friday!
